Scents are powerful. Like words on a page, they create instant connections between the tangible and intangible. When looking at the luxury candle market today, many of the products are aspirational: they say more about the person we wish to be rather than who we are.

ARCHIV aims to turn that narrative around, creating a candle product that is all about being an extension of who you are, rather than what a company dictates you to be. ARCHIV creates luxury candle products that house bespoke scents crafted from your personal memories. 


Through marketplace research and target demographic data, a brand strategy was developed targeting young professionals who adopt a “fewer, but better” philosophy to consumption. The design direction was inspired by the hazy, warm glow of our fondest memories

Our marketing materials showcase our photography style: moments and impressions.

Our past memories often elude details and context, but we always remember important moments with striking clarity. The photography highlights those moments and juxtaposes them with the scents that make up the memory, creating an impression in print form.

A key component of this project was creating an activation. I chose to promote this product through a pop-up experience where I focused on creating an environment that evoked nostalgia and memories.

The website also serves as an extension of the brand story, with the overall capabilities of the site limited in order to keep focus on the product and the consultation process.  Large images serve to bring users into the world of ARCHIV and communicate an experience of luxury and value.
